The purpose of a slapping

This story came from a forwarding email some years ago, I thought to extrated and translated in English and publish onto my blog.

There was a story of a young gentleman who live and studied in the US and have returned to his country, when he arrived home he asked his parents to find a priest or whoever could answer his three important questions that bothered him a lot.
Long story short, the parents found one.

Here is the conversation between the two. P (Priest) and G (Gentleman).

G : Who are you? do you think you can answer to all my questions?

P : I am the God shepherd, with His permission I’ll answer to all your questions

G : Are you sure? even my professors and experts in the US could not answer to my questions.

P : I’ll do my best

G : I have three questions;

1. If God exist then show me the form of GOD
2. What is destiny?
3. If satan created from fire, why GOD throw him to hell that made of fire?, it won’t hurt it, because satan made from fire the same element. Has GOD thought about that?

Suddenly, the priest slap his face………

G (moaning with pain) : oouuch….why did you angry at me? Why did you slap me?

P : I did not angry, that slap is my answer to all your questions!

G : (Confused) I don’t get it…!

P : How did you feel it?

G : Of course I feel hurts!

P : So, you feel the pain…. and believed the pain is exist

G : Of course

P : Then show me the element of that pain

G : I can’t, that is impossible..!

P : That is my answer to the question number one. Have you ever dream that you’ll get slap by me today?

G : Of course Not

P : That is destiny, that’s my answer to the question number 2

P : The hand that I have use to slap you, made from what?

G : Skin

P : How you describe about my slapping?

G : Hurts, .....pain.

P : Even satan made from fire and hell made from fire, but when God willing he can make hell the place to suffered for satan, that’s my answer to your question number 3

G : (hugging the Priest) Thank you Sir, I have found the answer.

Happy Easter

Easter supposed to be a religious event, but I guessed not in this country anymore, Easter here is more and more commercial.
Shops are decorates with Easter bunny, no one greets people Happy Easter and even worst Friday is open as usual, there isn’t any indication that this country is celebrate true Easter other than the churches, although 40 million people in this country declared or claimed to be a Christian.

My mind went to the way my country celebrate Easter, Easter is one of the main event in their religious calendar, people greets to each other Happy Easter, and by Friday after church the main road will be block for certain times special for the procession where many people from many organizations Christians and non Christians dressed up in Roman time and carry the cross for long miles, while singing the via do lorosa .

(Pics taken from hariankomentar.com/)
In Philippines even worse, some people not only carry the cross but they also voluntarily to be crucified, a real crucified, this ritual happen every year.

I guess these scenes won’t happen here in this country, anything about religion is heavily involved with PC in afraid to offend other’s people religion, how come? the Christianity teach us the love and forgiveness, how come people get offended by love and forgiveness? my Muslim friends and Muslim relatives always wish us their friends and relatives a Happy Easter or Happy Christmas and we do the same on Eid’s day or Idul Adha, and no one get offended, but smile widely, happy and feel the peace in our hearts.
Happy Easter
If I have wounded any soul today
If I have caused one foot to go astray
If I have walked in my own willful wayDear Lord, forgive!
